This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how YourMediaMate (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects Personal Information when you visit our website, use our software platform, respond to our advertisements or communicate with us by email, phone or SMS. It has been drafted to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and all 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the Spam Act 2003 rules for electronic messaging, and the Notifiable Data Breach (NDB) scheme.​

Interpretation & Definitions

- “Personal Information” means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information is true or not and whether recorded in a material form or not.

- “Services” refers to the YourMediaMate platform, related websites, mobile/desktop applications and any advertisement that links to this Policy.

- “Device” means any computer, smartphone, tablet or other internet-connected equipment you use to access the Services.

Words in the singular include the plural and vice-versa.

- We may collect and hold the following categories of Personal Information when you use our Services:

- Billing & payment information – tokenised card details handled by Stripe or PayPal and Australian Business Numbers (ABNs).

- Usage & device information – In-app actions, log files and diagnostic data.

- Sensitive information (rarely) – only if you choose to upload or enter it in free-text fields; in that event we process it solely with your explicit consent.

- We do not knowingly collect information about children under 15 years of age.

How We Collect Personal Information

- Directly from you when you submit web forms, book demos, call, email or text us.

- From authorised third-party integrations when you connect other software (for example, importing records from your CRM).

Direct Marketing & Mobile Communication Policy

- When you supply your mobile number you consent to receive transactional or promotional SMS directly related to YourMediaMate.

- We never sell or rent phone numbers to third parties.

- To stop SMS, reply **STOP** (processed within 24 hours).

Access, Correction & Portability

You may request access to, or correction of, the Personal Information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days unless an APP 12 exception applies, and we will give reasons if we refuse any part of your request.

Your Rights to Anonymity & Pseudonymity

Where lawful and practical, you may interact with us anonymously or under a pseudonym - for example, when browsing our public website. Certain functions (such as paid subscriptions) require real contact details.

Data Breaches & Notifications

If we become aware of an eligible data breach likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
